Hagel im Mai - Hail in May!!!

So kanns auch gehen. Tagelang ist es so heiß und schwül, dass man am liebsten in den Bagmati springen würde, und dann plötzlich geht es los. Hagel. Und was für welcher. Mehr als eine halbe Stunde dauert der Hagelschauer und der Rasen im Botschaftsgarten wird fast weiß. Und das alles natürlich genau, als wir draußen Mittagspause haben.

Such is life over here. For days it was so hot and muggy that we were almost tempted to jump into the Bagmati and then suddenly it starts. Hail. And what hail. The shower lasts more than half an hour and the lawn in the embassy's garden gets almost white. And all of this, of course, while we were outside for our lunch break.
